Lost But Found In Christ!

Scripture Text: "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." - Ephesians 2:4-6

DEVOTIONAL

Hello Beloved! As we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior; Jesus Christ. Let's not loose sight of the core purpose for this epoch event. The finished work of the cross, indeed calls for our celebration, because God in His Eternal Wisdom rubbished Satan and made him a fool.

We ought also understand the height of love, mercy and grace lavished on us by our Heavenly Father in the course of this questHow that we all were once lost in sin, slaves to its power and prisoners of our own desires. But God, in His infinite mercy and love, sent His Son Jesus Christ to redeem us.

Through the blood of Christ, our sins were forgiven, and we were adopted into God's family as His own children. To further shed light on the finished work of God on the cross, we need to acknowledge the how of the mystery of our redemption and divine inheritance in Christ:

1. From Slavery to Adoption

We were once slaves to sin, but through Christ's sacrifice, we have been set free and adopted into God's family. This new status gives us a glorious inheritance and a future filled with hope."Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God," -Ephesians 2:19 (KJV)

2. Sealed by the Holy Spirit

As believers, we have been sealed by the Holy Spirit, who guarantees our redemption and forgiveness of sins. This seal is a mark of our ownership by God and a promise of our future glory. "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise," - Ephesians 1:13-14 (KJV)

Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

3. Seated in Heavenly Places

Through Christ, we have been raised up and seated in heavenly places, far above principalities and powers.  A  position that gives us authority and power over the enemy, and we can walk in victory and triumph. (Read Ephesians 1:19-23)

Child of God! My prayer is that as you continue in the celebration of our risen Lord and Savior; Jesus Christ,  that you receive the grace to stay connected and in love with God as you  exercise authority over the defeated enemy and all of his cohort on the earth.
