Scripture Text “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.” - Ephesians 1:17 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
Beloved, awaken to this truth — you are not empty. You are not powerless. The Bible says in John 1:12 (KJV), “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God…” That power is not just authority, it is access to divine revelation.
We live in a noisy generation. Many are busy, but few are hearing God. Many are informed, but few are transformed. And the difference is revelation.
I I recalled a story, some times ago of a young man standing at a bus stop, restless and confused about life. He kept checking his phone, sighing deeply, completely burdened. Beside him sat an elderly man, calm and unmoved by the chaos around.
After a while, the old man spoke gently, "Young man, you look like someone searching without direction."
The young man replied, “Sir, I’ve tried everything, hard work, connections, even religion. Nothing seems to work.”
Then the old man smiled and said, "That is the problem. You’ve tried everything… except understanding the Father’s will. Religion will keep you busy, but revelation will give you direction."
He paused, then added, "When a man sees what God is saying, he stops struggling with what life is doing."
That moment changed everything!
Beloved, that is the power of revelation. It is not about how much you know, but what has been opened to you.
Abraham walked in this reality. The Bible says in Romans 4:20–21 (KJV), “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith… being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.”
Why?
It is because Abraham had revelation. He saw beyond his age, beyond Sarah’s womb, beyond natural limitations. He saw what God said.

“You cannot rise above what you have not seen in the Word.”

Understand that the Word of God is not just letters - it is God’s will revealed. And until it is revealed to you, it will not profit you. The Bible says in Psalm 119:130 (KJV), “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.”
Notice: It is not the reading of the words, but the entrance. That means the Word must enter your spirit. When it does, light comes. Confusion disappears. Fear loses its grip.
However, a lot of people today are trapped in religion: routines without revelation. They know scriptures, but they don’t see them. And until you see it, you cannot become it.
Revelation is what separates a struggling believer from a reigning believer.
Beloved, I want you to settle this in your heart today: God’s Word is His Will, and His Will is final.
Consequently, when revelation comes, you stop arguing with life. You begin to walk in certainty. You speak with authority. You live with confidence.
Just like that young man at the bus stop, just one moment of revelation can change the direction of your entire life.
POINTS OF REFLECTION
1. Are you actively seeking the hidden riches God has stored for you?
2. Do you rely on God’s Spirit to lead your financial and life decisions?
3. Are you digging in the Word daily or expecting treasure without labor?

ASSIGNMENT
For the next 7 days, create a quiet time daily with God. Study a portion of Scripture and ask the Holy Spirit: “Lord, what are You revealing to me?” Write it down and act on it immediately.
Revelation is when God opens your eyes to see what has always been written but never understood.
