DEVOTIONAL

Beloved, a whole lot was accomplished in redemption - what a marvelous thing! The coming of Jesus Christ gave you not only access to the the Father but also revealed the reality of what has been deposited in you as a child of God.

You are not saved to exist, you are saved to express a Kingdom. Salvation is not only an escape from sin; it is an induction into a new culture, a divine way of life governed by God Himself.

The Kingdom of God is not a place you visit; it is a life you live. And that life has a culture. Just as every nation has values and systems that define it, the Kingdom of God operates by divine cultures that must be reflected in every believer.

Jesus made it clear in Matthew 6:10 (KJV): “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” This means heaven’s lifestyle must be revealed through us here on earth.

Let us look at the core Kingdom cultures every believer must live for:

1. Culture of Honor

Romans 12:10 (KJV) “Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.” In the Kingdom, we value people because they carry God’s image. Honor is not based on status but on divine identity.

2. Culture of Faith

“But without faith it is impossible to please him…”.  Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

Faith is the currency of the Kingdom. We don’t respond based on circumstances; we respond based on God’s Word.

3. Culture of Generosity

Acts 20:35 (KJV) declares “…It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Kingdom people are givers. We understand that everything we have flows from God, so we release freely.

4. Culture of Love

In John 13:35 (KJV)  it says, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” Love is not optional, it is the identity of the Kingdom. It governs how we speak, act, and respond.

The words of Benson Idahosa,

Where love rules, God reigns.

5. Culture of Service

Mark 10:44 (KJV)  “And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.” In God’s Kingdom, greatness is measured by service, not status. We serve with humility and purpose.

6. Culture of Excellence

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” Colossians 3:23 (KJV)

Mediocrity does not reflect the King. Excellence is our standard because we represent God.

7. Culture of Power

1 Corinthians 4:20 (KJV) says, “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”

The Kingdom is not theory, it is demonstration. We are carriers of divine authorityThese cultures are not ideals—they are expectations. The believer must intentionally live them out. The world says “live for yourself,” but the Kingdom says “live for God.”

The world promotes self, but the Kingdom promotes sacrifice. When you embrace Kingdom culture, your life becomes a manifestation of heaven on earth.

POINTS OF REFLECTION

1. Are you consciously living according to Kingdom values or worldly standards?

2. How are you reflecting God’s culture in your daily interactions with people?

3. What is stopping you from fully embracing the lifestyle of the Kingdom?
