Scripture Text: “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.” - Ephesians 1:17 (KJV)
Beloved, I crave your indulgence today as a fellow believer to awaken to this truth -you are not ordinary! The Psalmist declared in Psalm 82:6 (KJV), “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.”
Don't think this is blasphemy; it is revelation. We are born of God, and if God is Spirit, then we who are born of Him are spirit also. We live in human bodies, but the very essence of God; His life, His wisdom, and His power, resides within us.
There is a Spirit in man, as Job said, “but the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding” (Job 32:8 KJV). This Spirit is the Spirit of Wisdom, the breath of divine intelligence that flows from the heart of God into His children.
It is the Spirit that distinguishes us, sets us apart, and empowers us to do exploits in life and ministry.
When Jesus walked the earth, He did not live by human intellect but by the Spirit of Wisdom resting upon Him. The prophet Isaiah foretold it saying, “And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.” (Isaiah 11:2 KJV)
This same Spirit is now at work in us. It is the divine intelligence of Heaven: the creative force that gives insight beyond human comprehension.
We saw it manifest in Joseph, who interpreted Pharaoh’s dreams with divine precision; in Daniel, who by this same Spirit decoded mysteries and outshone the magicians of Babylon. They were not wise by training but by divine impartation.
The Words of Bishop David Oyedepo,
The Holy Spirit is not just power to perform, He is wisdom to perceive.
Beloved, we have this same Spirit within us. It is not an occasional inspiration; it is a permanent indwelling.
This is the secret of excellence, innovation, discernment, and success in the believer’s life. As Daniel 11:32 (KJV) declares, “The people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” That knowledge comes by the Spirit of Wisdom - revealing what no eye has seen or ear heard.
This Spirit of Wisdom does not just teach us what to do, but how to do it God’s way. It gives us heavenly strategies for earthly challenges. It is not of this world; it flows from above, pure and peaceable, full of mercy and good fruits (James 3:17).
So, Child of God, you are born of Wisdom Himself. Walk in this consciousness. Refuse to operate from mere logic or emotion. Depend on the Holy Spirit in your decisions, business, ministry, and daily life.
The Spirit of Wisdom in you is your advantage in this world of darkness.
