Scripture Text: - "That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;" - Ephesians 3:16 (KJV)
Child of God, it is important you know this - You are no longer of this world. You are not born of flesh, nor of the will of man, nor of blood, but of God , you are born of the Spirit (John 1:13).
You carry within you the divine essence of Heaven. The Spirit of Christ now dwells in you, transforming you from within, shaping your thoughts, your desires, and your pursuits toward the will of the Father.
It's surprising how many believers today live as though they are empty, unaware of the divine treasure housed in their mortal bodies. Yet, God has chosen to dwell in us by His Spirit, to make His light shine in our hearts and express His will through our lives.
The inner man : your recreated spirit - is the real you, designed to rule, to discern, and to manifest the life of God.
According to Smith Wigglesworth,
It is not the outer man that defines a believer’s strength, but the life of the Spirit within him.
Beloved, every Child of God was predestined and concluded in Christ for a divine purpose. Though the world is full of darkness, but we are called to shine as lights.
Jesus, while on earth, declared in John 8:12, “I am the light of the world.” Now, that same light burns within us. He lives in our inner man by faith (Galatians 2:20).
Through the finished work of the Cross, we have experienced a change of status , from bondage to liberty, from darkness to light, and from mere men to sons of the Most High.
So, to walk in this truth, we must grow spiritually. We must nurture the inner man through prayer, meditation on the Word, and obedience to the Spirit.
As Paul admonished in Romans 12:2, “Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Your spirit is your connection point with Heaven - feed it, strengthen it, and align it with the Word daily.
This means that every believer carries a divine assignment - a reflection of the Son’s mission on earth. Jesus came to seek and to save the lost; so are we sent to reveal God’s glory through our unique calling.
Therefore, identify where God has placed you, and let your inner man lead you in fulfilling that calling with boldness and faith.
POINTS OF REFLECTION
1. Are you living daily with an awareness of the divine treasure within you?
2. Do you feed your inner man through prayer and the Word, or neglect it while feeding the flesh?
3. Are you fulfilling the divine assignment for which you were predestined in Christ?
