Scripture Text: "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." – 1 Peter 4:10 (KJV)

John C. Maxwell, a renowned leadership expert, once said,

Success is knowing your purpose in life, growing to reach your maximum potential, and sowing seeds that benefit others.

This important thought aligns with the biblical principle that our gifts are not given for selfish gain but for serving others and glorifying God. We need to know this; God has uniquely endowed each person with gifts and talents.

These gifts may be spiritual, intellectual, or physical, but they all come with the same purpose: to glorify God and serve humanity.

However, in today's world, many people, even Christians,  use their gifts to seek fame, wealth, or validation, trading eternal rewards for temporary accolades.

In Matthew 25:14-30, Jesus shares the parable of the talents

In this story, the master entrusts his servants with different amounts of talents (a form of currency) and departs.Upon his return, he rewards those who traded and multiplied their talents and rebukes the one who buried his talent out of fear.

This parable teaches us the importance of investing and using what God has given us. Trading our gifts in service to God and others brings spiritual multiplication and eternal rewards.

The pressure of the modern world often leads believers to compare their gifts with others or to pursue worldly approval.

But Romans 12:6-8 reminds us that each person’s gift is unique and must be used according to the grace God has given.

Whether you are called to teach, encourage, or lead, your gift holds immense value in the Kingdom of God

God’s design is for us to use our gifts to serve one another, build His church, and draw others closer to Him.

By trading your gifts wisely, you align yourself with His purpose, experience fulfillment, and leave an eternal impact.

1. Are you actively using your gifts to glorify God and serve others?

2. Have you allowed fear, comparison, or complacency to prevent you from using your talents?
