Scripture Text:“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:10 (KJV)

Welcome to THE LIVING BREAD it's another winning day for you. Let's look at the topic: CALLED TO DIVINE ASSIGNMENT.

Beloved, do you know, that, life is not a playground? Life is a battleground. It is not a place of endless fun-fare, but a call to duty. Every child of God must realize that salvation is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of a divine assignment.

We are saved to serve, redeemed to represent Christ, and called to advance His Kingdom on earth.

According to the Word, this world we live in lies in gross darkness. Men are blinded by the god of this world, which has led them to chasing shadows and fading pleasures. But as children of light, we have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God’s dear Son (Colossians 1:13, KJV).

Jesus Himself was sent into this world for an assignment – to seek and to save the lost. He declared, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” (John 9:5, KJV). And as He is, so are we in this world.

Your life is not an accident. Yes it's not, long before you were born, God predestined you for a divine assignment. You are God’s workmanship, crafted with intention, equipped with gifts, and placed on earth at this time for a purpose.

Ministry is not the exclusive duty of pastors or evangelists – every believer is a minister of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18, KJV). Whether in your family, workplace, community, or the nations, you have a role to play in shining God’s light and establishing His will.

According to Oswald J. Smith:

The man who is in Christ is not saved for himself; he is saved for others.

But here is the caution: if you do not know your assignment, you risk wasting your days on earth pursuing what does not matter in eternity. Know that the enemy’s greatest tactic is to keep believers distracted with worldly pursuits, making them forget they were called for higher purpose.

Child of God, you should ask yourself this question: “Am I living for God’s assignment or for my own ambition?”

The Lord Jesus said, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” (John 4:34, KJV). This must also become our passion too – to live and die fulfilling the assignment God placed in our hands.

POINTS OF REFLECTION

1. Am I conscious daily that I am on earth for a divine assignment, not merely for survival?

2. How faithful am I in using my gifts and opportunities to advance God’s kingdom where He has placed me?

3. Will I be willing to let go of personal ambitions that compete with God’s eternal plan for my life?

PRAYER KEY POINTS

Father, IJN: Thank You for saving me and calling me into Your glorious assignment on earth.

Father, IJN: Open my eyes to clearly see and walk in the purpose You have ordained for my life.

Father, IJN: Empower me by Your Spirit to fulfill my divine assignment and bring glory to Your name.

ASSIGNMENT

This week, take time to prayerfully write down the areas God has placed you (family, work, church, community).

Identify at least one practical way you can shine His light and fulfill your assignment there. Then commit to act on it.

Your divine assignment is not optional; it is the very reason you were born.
