A Mission Call!

Scripture Text: “As my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.” — John 20:21 (KJV)

Beloved, It is very important that every child of God should come to the understanding, that life on earth is not a coincidence but a divine assignment. We are not here merely to exist,to chase pleasure, or to amass wealth. We are here on a mission call; a heavenly mandate entrusted to us by the Father through Christ Jesus.

Let's recall that when Jesus walked the earth, He lived with a clear sense of purpose. He knew perfectly why He came - to fulfill the Father’s will and to reconcile man back to God.

In John 4:34, He said, “My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work.” This reveals that the satisfaction of the Son was in the accomplishment of divine purpose, not in worldly gains. In the same vein, as believers, our lives only find true meaning when we discover and pursue the mission for which we were born.

So, you are not an accident! You are a divine seed planted on earth to bear fruits of righteousness. The Apostle Paul understood this truth and declared in Acts 20:24, “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy.”

The Christian journey is not a leisure walk, it’s a mission field. Though the world may lure us with comfort and distractions, but the Spirit of God continually reminds us that we are ambassadors of the Kingdom:

"Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God."  - 2 Corinthians 5:20 (KJV)

The Words Dr. Myles Munroe

Until purpose is discovered, existence has no meaning.

To every believer reading this, hear this truth: you have been sent. Your mission may not be the pulpit, but wherever you are; in business, education, government, or ministry, you are God’s vessel to establish His will on earth

Know that the world needs your light, your voice, and your obedience to the call. Refuse to live without direction. Seek God’s purpose for your life and pursue it with everything in you.

The times are urgent. The Lord’s command remains, Occupy till I come(Luke 19:13). Child of God, we are called to advance the Kingdom, to shine light in dark places, and to demonstrate God’s love to a broken world.

Remember, the mission is not optional, but it is the believer’s divine duty.

POINTS OF REFLECTION

1. Have you discovered the divine purpose for which you were born?

2. How faithfully are you pursuing God’s assignment for your life, or are you distracted by temporary pursuits?

3. How are you using your time, gifts, and influence to advance God’s Kingdom on earth?

PRAYER KEY POINTS

Father, IJN: Thank You for calling me into Your divine mission on earth. Help me to walk worthy of this calling.

Father, IJN: Deliver me from distractions and worldly pursuits that keep me away from my divine purpose.

Father, IJN: Grant me grace and boldness to fulfill my assignment with joy and excellence, that Your Kingdom may be glorified through me.
