Walking In God's Light!

Scripture Text:"This then is the message whichwe have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." - 1 John 1:5-7 (KJV)

Hello Beloved! Welcome to THE LIVING BREAD, it's another Power Packed message from the Lord.  In today's message we will be talking on the topic: WALKING IN GOD'S LIGHT

This topic is especially important to us, because we live in a world that is shrouded in darkness, but God stands as a beacon of light, that illuminates our path and guides us into truth and righteousness.

Walking in God's light here is not just to avoid living a sinful life; instead, it is holding onto His truth while living a life that reflects his character.

John's message to the believers, according to the scripture text (1 John 1:5-7)  stated it very clearly:  "that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all"

So, as a child of God, you are predestined to align yourself with His light, to walk in His ways, and to embody His truth. Too commit to a life of integrity, honesty, and righteousness in every aspect of your life.

When we walk in the light of God it requires that you live in honesty and genuineness. So, children of God in this category cannot claim to have fellowship with God while hiding in the shadows of deceit or hypocrisy.

However,  if we profess to follow Christ but continue to walk in Satan's vices, by engaging in all forms of sinful behaviors, like harboring unforgiveness or living in falsehood, we only deceive ourselves and sever our fellowship with God.

The Bible says,"They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed." - Psalms 34:5

Still, God's promise is very deep for those of us who choose to walk in His light: which is by fellowship with one another and purification from sin through the blood of Jesus.

When we determine to walk in God's light, we simply experience true communion with God and with fellow believers.

Also, in this type of walk with God,  your relationships must be marked by love, grace, and unity, reflecting the character of our heavenly Father.

It was Rick Warren who said,

God's light illuminates our path, and we must walk in His light to experience His guidance and protection.

When you understand and live by the truth in God's Word it means you are truly Walking in God's light. The Bible, which is God's manual serves as a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalms 119:105), that counsels us in discerning right from wrong and leading us into a life of obedience.

Therefore if we learn from the Word of God daily, and allow the truths to saturate our minds, we become equipped to keep walking in the light and shining brightly in this world of darkness.

The Word in Isaiah 60:-2 encourage us to, " Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee."

Beloved today, I also encourage you to examine deeply your walk with God.

Are you walking in His light? Are you holding on to His truth?  How about living in righteousness? Or are there areas of darkness that need to be exposed and surrendered to God?

Receive fresh grace for commitment to keep walking in God's light, by letting His truth guide all of your steps, and His righteousness shine through you always, and drawing others to the glorious light of Christ.
