Desire Godly Wisdom!!

Scripture Text: "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get Wisdom, and with all thy getting get understanding." - Proverbs 4:7 (KJV).

Hello Beloved! I believe you are grateful to God, for His mercy and grace that He makes new every morning for us. He deserves our praise always. Thank you, Jesus. 

Today's topic is DESIRE GODLY WISDOM

Apostle James has clearly treated this very subject in a more plain way for the believers to comprehend. He talked about the different levels of wisdom and made it obvious to us that all of these wisdom aren't from God.

He declares that, it is only the wisdom that comes from above that is guaranteed and will keep the true worshippers of God. This kind of wisdom is what every child of God should earnestly desire. 

The Bible says, "But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work." - James 3:14-16 

In the above text, the apostle shows us the various dimensions of wisdom; sensual wisdom, Earthly wisdom, devilish wisdom, and the Wisdom from above.

When believers live in bitterness, envy, and strife among themselves, it's obvious they are operating the wisdom that is not from God, but earthly, sensual, and devilish. 

We must desire only divine wisdom, which is from God. The wisdom of God is pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be intreated, it is full of mercy, and bears good fruits, without favoritism or partiality, without hypocrisy.

This wisdom is divine and of the kingdom. The scripture text says, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get Wisdom, and with all thy getting get understanding."  

The wisdom of God is the principal thing every child of God should desire first. God's order of wisdom is fundamental and also foundational for believers to walk in. Every born-again child is now born of God, and should be like their Father.

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." - John 1:12-13

Know that every redeemed child, is now begotten of the Father, and His wisdom dwells in them by His Spirit. So, don't let the flesh rule you, resist every form of carnal living and pursue spirituality. This is wisdom from above.

PRAYER KEY POINTS 

Father, IJN: Thank you for Your Spirit of wisdom and revelation, that we have freely received in Christ. I thank you for the understanding of your Word of today.

Father, IJN: Help me to continue to grow in the knowledge of Christ the Word, sanctify my heart with the Word, and grant me divine insight by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit my comforter and teacher.

Father, IJN: By the power in the blood of Jesus I resist every face of covering striving to prevent me from living in the light of God's Word and wisdom. I rebuke every contrary wisdom that lures to disobedience of God's commandments.

We grow by devoted word study and by prayer. In prayer, we can ask God anything, whether wisdom, grace, power, or blessing. 

He that lacks wisdom should ask from the Lord, who gives liberally to them that ask him.
