I welcome you  to THE LIVING BREAD(TLB), May you be blessed as we delve into the topic: GOD'S WILL FOR YOU.

Understanding and walking in God’s will is one of the greatest desires of a true believer’s heart.

We will notice this thirst amongst those who sought God delightsomely in the scripture. The likes of Moses, Abraham, David, Peter, Paul etc.

Many people wonder what God’s will is for their lives, but the Bible clearly outlines several aspects of it.

First, God’s will is that we be sanctified; set apart and made holy.

This process of sanctification involves turning away from sin and living in obedience to His Word.

In the scripture text (1 Thessalonians 4:3), Paul specifically mentions abstaining from sexual immorality as part of God’s will for our sanctification.

One of the prayer requests Jesus made to the Father was for our sanctification, as recorded in John 17:17, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."

This principle extends to all areas of the believers life, where we are called to pursue purity and righteousness.

Second, it is God’s will that we should always give thanks in all circumstances.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says: “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Gratitude keeps our hearts aligned with God’s purposes, even in challenging times, thereby reminding us of His sovereignty and goodness.

Finally, it is God’s will that His children trust Him and submit to His plans.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

However, it is important to know that walking in God’s will requires faith, surrendering to Him, and your willingness to let Him lead.

Also, understand that God’s will is not just about what you do; but about who you become.

He desires His children to grow in Christlikeness, reflect His love, and fulfill His purposes in their lives.

So, by seeking Him daily through prayer, studying His Word, and obeying His commands, we can confidently walk in His will.
