Be Vigilant!

Scripture Text: “Be sober, be vigilant: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” - 1 Peter 5:8

WICKEDNESS IS currently looming by the day as more agents of it, are daily being recruited, they are in their realms; soldiers of darkness!

Just as believers or God’s children are named children of Light, "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." - Matthew 5:14, and also soldiers, or the end time army of Christ.

Our weapons as soldiers are not a physical arsenal, but rather “they are mighty through God.”

The carnal weapons can’t fight in this war, they are nothing! "(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)" - 2 Corinthians 10:4

In the realm of the spiritual -physical weapons don’t access it, they limited, the scripture text says, “Be sober, be vigilant: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour .”

Understand that, we are in the last days, so as the gospel gets spread, so does evil, and wickedness get on the increase.

Christians evangelize and win souls for the kingdom, by the teaching and preaching of the gospel of salvation.

Likewise the devil; with gimmick, antics, materialism, immorality. It is a fierce war, between good and evil, between light and darkness.

A well respected and renowned father in the lord said, “It is scriptural to be challenged, but unscriptural to be defeated”,

But for who we have become in Christ, and our spiritual weapons, we have the ordination for victory; The Bible says,

“for whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” - 1 John5:4

Faith in God guarantees us Jesus' kind of victory over the wicked devices of the devil and his agents.

Life is not a place of fun fare ,there is warfare here, a fierce spiritual battle if I may say, it's a daily battle.

The bible admonishes therefore, that we should watch and pray to overcome the enemy's temptation.

The children of the world at this time seem to be getting even wiser, most of the so called Christians are just sleeping, why did I say they seem wiser?

The one and only reason is how devoted and committed they are to their source of power: The Devil!

Large numbers of believers live life casually.

Child of God, a little deep dig into the (word) scriptures would ignite your heart with super-light.

Our only guaranty for victory is through the knowledge of the word of God, “and you shall know the truth and the truth will make you free”- John 8:32.

Our Father and God, according as his divine power has given unto you and me, all things that pertains to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that called us to glory and virtue ( 2 Peter 1:3)

All you need to overcome has been fully delivered unto you, in Christ, God is watching to see you do exploit.

Through you he will make the devil a footstool, Soldiers are very vigilant, but they must also watch and pray.

Here's a reminder; that you are not alone in this battle, our war is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and powers, and spiritual wickedness in high places and the rulers of darkness of this world.

They are remote only surmountable in God.

If Jesus beat the devil before, he will beat him again and again…and will always make a fool of him

God’s word said; “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eyes” - psalm 32:8.

Vigilance is not self knowledge, but rather a spiritual sensitivity to everything around you, your ministry and life, through the knowledge of God’s word.

If you are spiritually sensitive, when the roaring lion is roaming you will see and take overcoming measure, for you must surely be victorious .

Spiritual sensitivity is vigilance!.

A good knowledge of God’s word opens your mind’s eyes to know the evil devices of the enemy.

God said He will guide you with his eyes, wow, do you get that?

God will guide you by letting you see through his own eyes. Hear what David said, “Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me” - Psalm 119:98,

To be vigilant means, you have to be wiser than your enemies, how?

Let God’s word always be with you. It is the “sword of the spirit”, a major weapon in our spiritual battle against the devil.

According to Apostle Paul's admonition to the church, he said, "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

We are in the evil days, and it is a horrible war, so we need to be vigilant all the time, equipped with all of the spiritual armors, ready for battle.

Beloved! Don't live your life in this world casually, be vigilant. The enemy isn't a friendly spirit, but desperate, and wicked.

But we are redeemed in Christ as overcomers. Because He that dwells within us is greater than what is in the world.

You are more than a conqueror!

Be Vigilant.

PRAYER KEY POINTS

Father, IJN: I thank you Lord for making a big fool of the devil and taking all keys from him.

Father, IJN: Fill me with your grace to be spiritual alertness and sensitivity against all cunning moves of the devil all through the days of my life.

Father, IJN: I cover my spirit, soul and body with the blood of Jesus Christ and I blind every eye of the wicked trailing my life and destiny.

COMMIT TO MEMORY

"Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." - Matthew 26:41

ASSIGNMENT

Be spiritual.

The Bible tells us that to be spiritually minded is life and peace, but carnality leads to death.

Spirituality is living your true nature, that is manifesting as light, and light has absolute and instant power over darkness.

Always read, meditate on the word of God, and apply it to your daily life. This way you stay vigilant.
