It was Kenneth Hagin who said,
The Spirit of Faith will cause you to believe, speak, and act like God, even in the face of impossible odds.
Several years ago, during a massive flood, a young pastor had to evacuate his village church.
As waters raged, he stood at the edge of the rising river and declared, “Lord, You said in Your Word You would be with us in the fire and in the flood. I will not fear!”
While others panicked, he rallied villagers to safety, organized rescue teams, and turned a crisis into a revival.
How? He operated not in the spirit of fear, but in the Spirit of Faith.
Now, the Spirit of Faith isn’t just believing in your heart, it’s acting boldly on God’s Word despite visible threats.
It is the Word in motion, the guts of the gospel, the force that steers you to walk on water like Peter, face giants like David, and defy flames like the Hebrew boys.
Faith without action is dead. The Spirit of Faith is alive, vibrant, and confrontational. It stares at sickness, lack, persecution, or delay and still says, “I believe God!”
Let's consider the popular chapter of faith Hebrews 11, where every hero mentioned did something by faith, let's see;
- Abel offered
- Noah built
- Abraham went out
- Moses refused
- Rahab received
What Is The Spirit Of Faith?
The Spirit of faith is the force behind supernatural victories. It’s more than quoting scripture; it’s believing, speaking, and acting on it.
This is that point when your heart is full of God’s Word, your mouth releases bold confessions, and your life reflects unshakable confidence in God.
5 Ways to Activate the Spirit of Faith
1. Feed Daily on God’s Word
"So then faith cometh by hearing..." – Romans 10:17
The Spirit of Faith is Word-born. Saturate yourself in scripture until it governs your mindset.
2. Speak Boldly What You Believe
"We believe, and therefore speak..." – 2 Corinthians 4:13
Don't just think faith, declare it!
Your words are your spiritual steering wheel.
3. Refuse Fear in Any Form
"God hath not given us the spirit of fear..." – 2 Timothy 1:7
Fear tolerated is faith contaminated. Starve your fears by feeding your faith.
4. Act in Line With the Word
"Faith without works is dead..." – James 2:26
If God says, “Move,” then move. If He says, “Give,” then give. Action is the lifeline of faith.
5. Stay in the Spirit Through Prayer
"Building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost." – Jude 1:20
Praying in the Spirit charges your inner man and activates faith dynamics.
POINTS OF REFLECTION
1. Are you only believing, or are you also speaking and acting on the Word?
2. What fears have you allowed to silence your faith?
3. What is God calling you to do that requires bold, faith-filled action?
